Since January 1983, the Chinese Community History Room began to collect, organize and preserve material documenting the history of Chinese society in Vancouver. The Chinese history in Canada is easily neglected and forgotten, because the community does not have the spare resources to record it, and the mainstream historical accounts often failed to acknowledge its place in Canadian history. |
