Introduction

The Royal City Alumni Band (RCAB) was formed in 1987 by former members of the New Westminster and District Concert Band. The band is also known as the Royal City Concert Band (RCCB). Our founding conductor, Fred Turner, was a long-time conductor of the District Band. After Fred, the RCCB's conductors have included Fred's son Tom, Vic Crewe, and Earl Hobson. Our current music director, Peter Wenzek, joined us in the fall of 2012. We are actively recruiting new members, especially young musicians who want to continue playing after high school.
