VWBS Objectives

The Vancouver Wooden Boat Society is here to serve the interest of boating; to stimulate a greater interest in wooden boats; to develop a fraternal spirit among other boating enthusiasts; to provide a medium for the exchange of wooden boat information and to do all other things which will tend to further interest in boating generally. We go about our activities with consideration of our fellow seafarers and with safety being foremost in our minds.
This website is a portal for existing & potential members to view our activities and planned events.

Coming Events

The Vancouver Wooden Boat Society will hold a meeting at Brtannia Heritage Shipyards, 5180 Westwater Drive, Steveston, BC on November 19, 2009 starting at 7:30PM.

There will be a quick review of the Wooden Boat Festival held on Granville Island this past August and then a presentation by Steve Macdonald of the Marine Parks Forever Society. Steve will talk about what has been done in the past and what is planned for the future for our Marine Parks.

There will be coffee and refreshments served. Everyone is welcome to attend. If you wish more information call 604-939-5774.
