Attend a Professional Development Seminar
held by the Society of PM Professionals
of Greater Vancouver
The Society holds at least three Professional Development Seminars in Vancouver
each year. See the
calendar of events for the current year.
The Professional Development Seminars feature technical presentations and
workshop facilitation by PMPs for the purpose of continuing professional
development. The seminar is intended for PMPs. However, a PMP may invite guests
who are committed to the advancement of the Profession. Practitioners who plan
to become certified as PMPs are welcome in particular.
The Professional Development Seminars have proven to be very popular. To allow
for participation and discussion, attendance is limited to 50 people at each
event.
You can ensure your attendance at a seminar by serving as a presenter, workshop
leader, member of the seminar management team, or Society Officer. These people
are entitled to assured seats at a seminar. Priority access to the remaining
seats is given to individuals who have previously served as presenters, seminar
project managers, and officers, or the "A-List" group. Finally, after seats
have been allocated to the A-List applicants, the remaining seats are assigned
to all other applicants on a first-come first-served basis.
Download the rules for assigning available
seats and the list of individuals eligible for first priority seating.
Registration for a seminar does not open until a registration notice is
broadcast. There is no provision for advance registration.
Only those applications received after the time of broadcast will be considered.
To have your name placed on the list to receive seminar notices, please contact
Walter Wawruck, PMP
, the Acting Registrar for the Society.
