Society of PM Professionals and ISACA (Information Systems and Audit Control
Association).

secure registration page
The limit of 90 registrants for the event is managed automatically online.
Any questions on registration may be directed to
Teresa Lee, PMP
, Registration Manager.
Our agenda for the day will include these presentations and workshop
sessions:
-
A PROJECT MANAGEMENT APPROACH FOR A
BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE (BYOD) PROGRAM - Edward Pereira,
PMP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, CGA-. BYOD programs are designed to
accommodate personal devices in the corporate network. However, they can
straddle the domains of several stakeholders in the organization. Pitfalls
abound.
A project management approach to this undertaking is paramount.
-
EXPLORING THE CONVERGENCE BETWEEN PHYSICAL
AND INFORMATION SECURITY - Craig Hachey, P. Eng, PMP, - The convergence
of physical and information security gets more interesting as surveillance and
control
technology advance. The convergence is uneven though and advancing
at a different pace depending on industry and type of facility.
-
SECURE SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT AND THE SECURE SOFTWARE
DEVELOPMENT LIFECYCLE (SSDLC) - Neil Rerup, CISSP, Greater emphasis on
institutionalizing good security within the typical software lifecycle has been
increasing
thanks to OWASPPCI, but the principles are universal and applicable to all
types of
software (COTS, Custom, and Hybrid).
-
REGULATORY COMPLIANCE AND CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE
PROTECTION IN THE ELECTRIC INDUSTRY- Tony Dodge, CISSP, -.
Some cyberwarfare experts contend, the Electric Industry and other utilities
are the next big targets in the ongoing cyberwar. In order to understand the
unique security challenges of this sector, regulatory compliance requirements
are explored
-
CHALLENGES OF BUILDING AN INFORMATION SECURITY
PROGRAM WITHIN A MEGA-PROJECT THE 2010 OLYMPICS, Jim Attridge
In a high profile international mega-project like the Vancouver 2010 Olympics,
information security is not the main deliverable it is a base expectation.
But that doesn't make it any easier to achieve!
-
VENDOR RISK ASSESSMENT IN A CLOUD SERVICES MARKETPLACE -
Cherian Palayoor, CISA Cloud Services implores purchasers of such services to
apply risk assessment procedures during the procurement process for requirements
such as security, stability, and scalability. As a provider of cloud services,
the due
diligence questions and requirements come in all forms, and a cohesive approach
is
required to prevent this cost of doing business from dragging down profit
margins.

This is a full-day seminar. If you register it is understood that you plan
