Dance performances

All dancers are welcome to join the performance group which dances in traditional folk costumes at a variety of cultural events.

The following happened in 2011, to give you an idea of what kinds of performances we do.

Sunrise of Lynn Valley

980 Lynn Valley Road, North Vancouver. Dancers perform for residents. Meet at 2:10, perform at 3:30.

Cedarview Lodge

1200 Cedar Village Close, North Vancouver. Dancers perform for residents. Meet and practice at 6pm, perform at 6:30pm.

Swedish Cultural Society 60th Anniv

Dancers perform at the Scandinavian Community Centre at 12 or 12:30

Dania Fair

Country fair at the Danish Rest Home. Dancers rehearse at Danish Church at 11:30, perform at 12:30pm inside at this public event. Times to be confirmed

Vancouver Midsummer

At the Scandinavian Community Centre. Public fair and performance. Dancers meet at 11:30 Saturday to participate in the parade, then perform after the parade, at 1:30. Simon and Elise perform on Sunday at 2pm

Century House, New Westminster

620 8th St, just past 8th Ave.  Dancers perform for residents. Meet and practice 6pm, perform at 7pm for 30 minutes

Seattle Midsommarfest

At St. Edwards St. Park. See the Skandia page for description and location. Performance time not confirmed.

Kitsilano Showboat

Public performance by our dancers and musicians at this popular seaside location.

PNE

Public performance by our dancers and musicians at the Pacific National Exhibition, at Hastings and Renfrew. There is an admission charge for the public to enter the fairgrounds. Meet at 5:30, perform at 6:30 for 45 minutes.
