If you can contribute your time and skills to the Vancouver Community Network:
-
Submit the volunteer
application form.
-
If selected, you'll be invited to an interview.
Once you've attended an interview and are accepted for placement, you'll
attend a full-day Basic Orientation and Training session before digging
in to your work. These sessions cover VCN's organizational and community
development initiatives, account registration and troubleshooting, supporting
non-profits in using Information and Communications technology and how
to give and get help. The information covered here is key to anyone's participation
in the CommunityNet.
VCN volunteering provides opportunities to contribute to ensuring universal
access, community space online and technical volunteer networking to support
not-for-profit organizations throughout the lower mainland. It's a challenging,
vibrant place to share your experience and gain new ones, and we look forward
to hearing from you!
If it turns out that we're not quite the right match for your skills,
interests and availability, there are many other organizations in need
of technical volunteers. Check out our Community
Pages Indices and local Volunteer
Center websites for other possible placements. |
