Community Content Developers
Community Content Volunteers work in project teams to develop websites, online databases, and open source applications to support the CommunityNet and non-profit groupsBasic Requirements for placement in this area:
AND strength in at least one of the following areas:
- Excellent people skills (interpersonal and communication)
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English, additional languages an asset
- Knowledge of VCN and non-profit organizations
- Advanced Internet experience
- Knowledge of Open Source software
- Independent problem solving style and willingness to work in teams
- Commitment to public information
- Access to the Internet off-site
- Commitment to at least 4 hours per week for at least 4 months and ability to attend orientation and occasional meetings
- Value and respect for diversity
- knowledge of basic HTML and FTP

- writing php
- designing MSAccess databases
- designing MySQL databases
- graphics design
