Shahrokh Roland Khosravi
Biography
Shahrokh Roland-Khosravi is a British artist who was born in Iran. He
recently moved from England to Vancouver, Canada, in August 2001. He has
traveled extensively in the Middle East and Europe.
In 1990 at the Camden Institute, and from 1991 to 1992 at Westminster
University, London, Shahrokh studied drawing, printmaking, painting, sculpture
and film making. He completed his First Class B.A. (Hons) degree in Fine
Art from Hertfordshire University , England in 1996 receiving the University
Award.
He has exhibited his work at the Margaret Harvey Gallery, St Albans in
1994.
From 1995-1996 he had a one man show at New Bibas, Windmill Street, London.
In January 1999 he had a one man show at the Knapp Gallery, Regent’s Park,
London.
From the 9th of June to the 8th of July he had a one man show at the Stormont
Studios of the Rye Art Gallery in East Sussex, England.
His work is part of several private collections in North America,
Europe and the Middle East.
As well as his love of painting Shahrokh has always been interested
in psychotherapy and counseling, this prompted him to do a training in
Psychotherapy and Counseling receiving his Diploma in Existential
Psychotherapy and Counseling from Regent’s College, London in 1999. He
works part-time as an existential psychotherapist and counselor as well
as painting.
For the past five years Shahrokh has been living with his wife and two
children in an area of the South East of England known for is natural beauty.
The peacefulness of the place he lived in helped him dedicate himself to
his art work so he could build a considerable body of work. |
