THE
WFM-C BUZZ SEPTEMBER
2005
A ROUND-UP OF WHAT PEOPLE
ARE DOING
or 'How we spent our summer vacation!'
WHERE'S FERGUS?
Tracked by our team of world federalist bloodhounds, Fergus
Watt (Exec. Dir., Ottawa) was smoked out while on summer holidays
in August and cajoled into co-authoring an article on 'Responsibility
to
Protect' which appeared in Embassy
Magazine that caters to Canada's political operatives.
Council is considering outfitting Fergus with an electonic monitoring
ankle bracelet during his next vacation.
SAGE CHOICE
Nita Dunn (Admin., Ottawa) spent her vacation touring Vancouver's UBC
campus, seeking the perfect banquet venue for this summer's AGM which
will co-incide with the World
Peace Forum June 23-28, 2005. Her sagacious choice: The
old faculty club now known as The Sage.
GLOBAL PARTNERSHIP
After his runaway bestseller 'everything you ever wanted to know about
the Global
Partnership Program',
Robin Collins (Council Chair, Ottawa) followed up with a hit letter to
the Ottawa Citizen 'There's
no place for nuclear arms'.
WE'RE RUNNING OUT OF THE STUFF
Andy Clarke (Ottawa), our former Executive
Director who established
WFC’s first National Office in 1963, has written an 18 page article
accompanied by charts on the topic 'Can Industrial Civilization Survive
the Age of Oil'. It will appear in the September issue of '
Proceedings', the journal of the Canadian Association for the
Club of Rome. (E-mail [email protected]

Vote Canada.
DEKEL'S WIKI

incomplete Wikipedia article on "world government", created a new

. This is the unexpurgated version, but if you are so inclined, Wikipedia allows
you to expurgate.

IT TAKES A VILLAGE
What better way to spend your summer than writing about the Canadian
constitution, federalism, and UN Reform.
That's what Elizabeth Snell (Communications, Guelph) did. Read
her article 'Sir
John A. and the Global Village'.
MAY THE (RAPID DEPLOYMENT) FORCE BE WITH YOU

shrug off the next Rwanda' calling on Canada to make a more robust
