FOG is a Canadian NGO that a friend (Stuart) and I started in 1995. It's main purpose is to support community development projects in Nicaragua - mainly health and education projects in poor communities. Mainly a group of friends has kept it going along the way, including especially Ramin, Gretchen and Carroll.
I have been involved as a founder, board member for the entire life of the NGO. In 1996 and 1997, I went as a volunteer teacher for the organisation in El Recreo, in Managua, the capital of Nicaragua. Currently, I am the president of the board of directors, and that's not saying much as the organisation is not very active, although we continue to support several university students in their studies.
