Pitt Lake Canoe Trip

Summer can only mean one thing… an annual visit to Pitt Lake. This, the largest freshwater tidal lake in N. America, provides us with the opportunity to get the feeling of the wilderness so close to home. We will travel in tandem canoes (2 people per canoe) to one of the various marine campsites. We are usually blessed with fantastic weather and a group eager to explore the lower half of Pitt Lake - we canoe approx. 35 km’s over the weekend. We will visit First Nations pictographs, see a relic from Pitt’s logging history and explore around the large Defrauder Creek waterfall. Cost of trip includes transportation, guides, canoe, and camping equipment (if required) – food is not. A pre-trip meeting on Mon. Aug. 8 @ 7 pm in the Info Centre will cover equipment needs, food considerations and trip specifics. A 9:00 am departure time on the Friday will be necessary to arrive at the best campsite before nightfall. With only 11 spots available register fast for this very popular adventure.

Fri. Aug. 12 - Sun. Aug. 14
Cost: $143
