VanCity came to show off their energy-efficient SmartCar and also took part in the event by planting and participating in other activities.

Orphaned Wild Life (O.W.L.) organization had their Ambassador Owl and Falcon on display. These beautiful birds held the attention and fascination of many visitors for a long time. O.W.L.'s work is ongoing and many young people expressed an interest in participating as volunteers.

The main stage was managed by Los Memories and featured Harry Fast, Al Osborne, Art Schrade, Cliff Hagel and drummer Lloyd Brow. This group is a great favorite with the Champlain Community and they are asked to perform regularly at Champlain's Summer Fairs.

Appearing for the first time at the Earth Day Event was the Kwayedza Marimba group playing their dynamic, high energy renditions of Zimbabwean music. A great performance and we hope they will be back next year.
