          A  Poem for Khordad Saal

  Once more  on  this  auspicious  day

  Zarathushtra' s birth  we do celebrate

  Month  Fravardin  and  Khordad  day

  A great Teacher Mazda sent our way

 

  We remember  his holy parents today

  Dughdova and Paurushaspa they say

  Who led a holy life,  to Mazda  prayed

  Mazda chose them for this blessed day

 

  When  man's faith in God  did face a test

  With evil doers, hypocrites ruling the rest

  Zarathushtra' s birth  so inspired  the best

  Among evil people  it spread fear, unrest

 

  Word of his birth spread through the land

  That  a Savior of the faith  is now at hand

  To keep its rule, evil played its dirty hand

  But Zarathushtra succeeded  in  all lands

 

  The  Mazdayasni faith in God   preserved

  Law and order  based  on  truth  restored

  Freedom of thought and speech ushered

  True joy,  peace and happiness  returned

 

  O Zarathushtra,  on this day  I  do pledge

  To do my part   for happiness  to spread

  To unite people  of different  good  faiths

  To help each other for spiritual  progress
