Volunteers at the Museum!

Volunteers are very important at the Museum. There are many things you might do to help out and you might even be able to think of some we haven't yet.

The tabs at the left will lead you to information on:

Volunteering Positions

    Education Program Docent – Deliver education programs to youth groups at the Museum. Click here for a full job description.

    Special Event Volunteer – Special Event position will vary depending on the event. Contact the Museum to find out more about what is available for upcoming events.

    Marketing Assistant – Assist with the development and distribution of marketing material for Education programs and Special Events.

    Archives and Collection Assistant – Assist with the processing of artifacts and photos donated to the Museum.

    Oral History Assistant – Assist with the collection and transcription of oral histories.

    Library Assistant – Assist with the organization and maintenance of the Museum library.

    Office Assistant – Assist with daily office needs.

    Garden Assistant – Assist with garden maintenance.

    Display Technician – Develop display materials for exhibits.

    Board Member – The Port Moody Heritage Society is a volunteer society that is responsible for overseeing the operation of the Museum and its events. Volunteering on the Board of Directors puts you at the heart of the work of the Museum.
