Monica Franz, MA Clinical Supervisor & Clinical Consultant |
My professional commitment as a supervisor is to facilitate the evolution of the supervisee's development as a professional in all dimensions of practice -- the clinical, ethical, legal, and personal. Developing strategies to promote professional resiliency is an area of particular interest for me. I work from a strength-based perspective to summon both the counsellor's trust in their clinical insight and their sense of curiosity with respect to areas of potential growth and challenge. The research for my Master's Thesis focused on the training and education of clinical supervisors as an issue of emergent concern for our professional communities and one that engages me in ongoing research and course development. I facilitate courses in Clinical Supervision at the Justice Institute of BC as well as teach Clinical Supervision in the faculty of Counselling Psychology at City University. |
The inner life of any great thing will be incomprehensible to me until I develp and deepen an inner life of my own. I cannot know in another being what I do not know in myself. ~Parker Palmer |
