Anchor House
We are currently developing a home
for women at risk of living on the street. We will be running a
four-strand program that includes Prayer Counselling, Christian
Discipleship, Vocational Training, and Life Skills. Women can only
enter the house after successfully completing an alcohol and drug
detoxification and rehabilitation program.
The house is scheduled to open in the
Fall of 2002 and needs assistance from the community.
Current
Projects
- There is a constant need for general labour,
construction, and maintenance at the Richmond Lifeline Campus
in the preparation of the housing; as well as volunteers for upcoming
house improvements such as a commercial kitchen.
- Creating a vegetable garden that can be used
both for the Life Skills training and the Blue
Bus program.
- Volunteers to come out and teach Vocational Training
or Life Skills as part of our four-strand program.
- Christians to join us in discipleship of those we serve.
